On Friday night before Montpelier High School’s homecoming, Montpelier Varsity Girls Soccer played Lake Region at 6pm and crushed 6-0. This win brought the girls team up to a 6-2 win streak this season.

Defense held strong as the team began scoring early in the game. The defense set a reliable foundation for the Solons to be able to stay on the other side of the field scoring throughout the game.

Freshman Eilidh Corbett scored three goals over the course of the game, alongside her sister, senior Adrianna Corbett, who scored two goals. Kiersten Briggs-Campbell scored one goal.

The team worked well together to keep the ball moving towards their next goal.

“This is really impressive for the girls varsity team especially because they don’t have a JV and they are playing really well,” senior Indy Roberts said during halftime on Friday.
